  2. So do you get a rest now or does some other crop take over for the winter?

    1. Rest?!? What's that!?!? ... only joking. This cut of hay will take another 3 weeks by the time we finish, then another cut for silage. In amongst all that we start planting winter crops, having already started contract planting winter pasture on local dairy farms And then there is lots of hay to deliver. So no, not really much rest.

  3. Third and last? I'm guessing you've had a successful hay season this year!

    1. Fifth hay cut for the year. We normally get 5 or 6 cuts of hay, and 2 cuts of silage. It is a long season. This year we have had a really good growing season, making top quality hay has been a challenge though with the weather.
