Photography companions.
One of the joys of growing up on a farm is raising calves.
Born Sept 2014 and bucket fed (Farm-ily Oct 9) by our youngest daughter the calves Dipsy, Billie, Nadi, McFee, & Bobby (Indi & Chester not in photo) are so very friendly and always only a step behind when going for a morning walk.

  1. And don't calves, and cows, have the MOST beautiful eyes. Heart-meltingly beautiful.

  2. So lovely, until the buckets of milk appear and five heads will try to fit into one bucket. The bucket will be upended and the milk poured over one calves' head. And then there is the constant concern about 'scours'.

    1. We don’t normally name our cattle… but hand raised calves, well, that is another story. Each name was carefully selected by our daughter for the temperament and personality of each calf. It was not an quick or easy process. You have to get to know them before names can be chosen!!
