  6. Wow, MF equipment. I understand the baler at the end - but what is the middle piece of equipment? Water tanks on the baler? To add moisture so the bales aren't too dry? We don't live in an area where there is a lot of hay production and most farmers here just use a John Deere round baler. As a kid, we bales small bales, so new equipment to me.

    1. The implement in front of the baler is a steamer, so you are right - it adds moisture to the hay as it is baled in the form of steam though not just straight water. It is only a new purchase for us, but was invented and manufactured in the US. And it is working a treat. The amount of hay that we have baled this week has been pretty incredible. Now if only we can get it all stacked and covered before it rains...
