Last night’s intense storm approaching.

  1. There's something beautiful about the sky before a storm. Great capture.

    1. There is isn't there - the calm before the storm. It had me quite concerned though. I didn't stay out long to photograph as it was looking so nasty, intense and moving quickly. Seeking shelter was wise.

  4. Great photo - hope not any damage? Are the oats able to salvaged?

    1. Very strong winds and heavy rain here. 30kms away 10 houses lost their roofs. Australia doesn't get big tornadoes like you in the US, but we do get the occasional small one like this one.

The oats won't be harvested for another month or so. The real test will be when the header comes into the field, but at this stage they are still looking good.

  5. We got some of that - but mostly it was wind and noise. Rain is always a blessing though - and I love those dramatic skies.

  7. I hope it just brought beneficial rain and no damage. We finally got 0.75" of rain - much needed and appreciated!
