Topdressing oats with urea.

  1. Oh dear. Love the light in that photo, but can't get past the urea. Which I only usually think about in terms of softening feet...
    Soft oats?

    1. I think the oats might be soft enough... certainly the ground is with all the recent rain. Urea is a granular nitrogen fertiliser. We are using it to give this paddock a boost after grazing with the cattle. It is spread just prior to rain so it gets washed into the soil and is readily available to the plants.

  4. You caught them working in the "golden hour." It's always good to get another task crossed off the list.
