Then and now mowing lucerne.

April 1992: mowing our first stand of lucerne (alfalfa). The Leyland was our first tractor and we still use it today some 25 years later… just not for mowing. We give it easier jobs these days.

Blog Post #1500

Over 4 years ago I set out to photograph and record a year on our farm. The continued interest in our farm and what we do on day-to-day basis has spurred this journey way past that one year project.

Another milestone has been reached today.

1500 blog posts… 1500 days… 1500 (+ 000’s more) photos

To us it is just our everyday but photographing it has become a real eye-opener to everything that goes on around us: the change in the seasons, the birds & insects, the sunsets & sunrises, the tiny details and the huge horizon that we have out here.

Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me along this journey. I love that my photos tell the story of our farm and that you are interested in seeing that story. I am also greatly appreciative that my family still allows me to stalk their daily movements with camera in hand.

And I still can’t see myself stopping, not just yet anyway.
