Thank you for all who responded to yesterday’s roll call. I am delighted to have so many people from all over the world interested in this little daily snippet of life on an Aussie farm.

It’s a while since I have done a roll call and today seems like as good a day as any.
So why not join in the fun. Where are you from? Please comment with your town/country.

And in case you didn’t know… we are based near Tocumwal, southern NSW, Australia.

Had a visit by a Sulphur-crested Cockatoo today who is looking a little raggedy.
Is he old, unwell or been in a scuffle? Does anyone have any expertise in this area?

A walk down the street alongside Boomerang Motors, Finley, and the eyes of Bob Brooks follow you. This recently finished mural is by the very talented Wagga Wagga born street artist Damien Mitchell and is a tribute to the founder of the mechanical business established in 1967.

Empty shelves.

8 weeks after nationwide Coronavirus panic buying and some pantry items are still in short supply. Here in country NSW, Australia, it’s flour & rice.

I’m curious… around the world what are you struggling to buy?

Scarf knitting kind of weather.

Using a pattern from blogger Stephanie Pearl-McPhee and Australian merino wool hand dyed by Saltbush Skeins of Hay, NSW…. with colours inspired by nature, this one’s pale eucalyptus.

A shower of rain this afternoon takes our total rain for the start of 2020 to be more than all of last year.

Down it came.
A beautiful 39mm over 2 days… and a little wind.

Bit chuffed to get the runner-up prize of an Isolation Mood-lifter Hamper in the Kotzur Silos Easter photo competition for a photo that I took on Maundy Thursday. It even included the essential hamper item of the moment… toilet paper.
Feeling very lucky!

Saturday

We will remember them.

Around Australia at the moment farmers are sowing crops. How many of these seeds can you name?
(Hint: not all are winter sown crops)
