    1. We start raking about 4am. We need the night dew on the windrow to be able to rake otherwise the hay is crispy dry. Depending on the morning we can get up to about 4 hours of raking before the sun heats up and the dew goes out of the windrow. Some mornings we have no dew, so no raking.
