Signing off...

Signing off… for now.

After 5 years, 4 months & 10 days (1900 posts) I’m taking a break from my daily photos.

What started as a year-long personal challenge on January 1, 2013 to find the beauty in each & every day on the farm extended into another year… and another….

Now I think it is time to call it a day… for a while at least.

Thank you all for being part of this journey. I am truly honoured by the level of interest in the day-to-day happenings on our farm and I thank you for your friendship, encouragement, comments, emails & messages of support over the last 5 years. Never in my wildest dreams did I think my photos would touch so many people, all over world.

  13. I have so appreciated seeing both the similarities and differences in our farm lives, even though they occur half a world away. I will miss my daily look at Australia, but I understand. I hope we can stay in touch. I agree that blogging has helped me to find beauty in small things, and that's been reflected so well in your daily posts. Thank you, Lynda!

  15. Thank you all so much for your beautiful words. I am bit overwhelmed by the response I have had to this post.

This morning I witnessed a beautiful sunrise... we have had some much needed rain overnight (only 5mm but it is a start), there was low cloud but a gap on the horizon which then bought forth a beautiful soft pink turning momentarily to yellow sky. Absolutely beautiful. I watched this all from the warmth of my home, still in my pj's resisting the urge to run out in the freezing cold rain with camera in hand. It was refreshing to enjoy the moment rather than trying to capture on film. I need to do this for a little while but that urge to photograph moments, when the light is just perfect, probably won't leave me. You probably see me here again...
    Thank you. xx

  16. I've enjoyed your lovely photos from the farm. But I know it's such a grind to keep up with a blog. Enjoy your blogging break and I hope you'll return some day.

  18. Sometimes it's best just to live the moment rather than try to capture it and that's ok. If you come back I'll be glad to see you!

  19. Lynda I am soooooo going to miss my daily dose of life on the farm. Not only its amazing natural beauty but the insight into what daily life on the farm is. I've been constantly amazed that you've had your camera with you at such early, late and busy hours, so fully understand your need to take a break.
You and your brilliant photography will be truly missed.

  21. I've been otherwise engaged recently and it occurred to me this morning that your blog was missing and popped over to discover the news. I'm a little sad because I love your photos. I shall just have, when the mood takes me, to pop back over the years I wasn't following you and remind myself of what I missed. Good luck with your other projects.
