  1. Anything to be read into the empty irrigation channels? I just noticed you too have been Pandored. What will people in 100 years make of what we publish today?

    1. The channels usually get emptied over the winter months for maintenance works & upgrades so nothing unusual in that. The birdlife love it. We always get influx of the bigger birds during winter.

Yes, being archived with the National Library via Pandora is a bit of a thrill actually. I hope those in 100 years seeing my farming photos will find it a little bit interesting. I love looking at old farming photos and seeing how farming practises have evolved over the last 100 years. And when you think of that progress that agriculture has been made in that time & how many more people we can now feed & clothe throughout the world it is mind boggling. World population was about 1.8billion in 1919. It is now 7.7billion. With it projected to be 10billion in just 30 years we need to keep growing more food and there is not an expanding amount of land to be doing that. We just have to keep getting better and better at doing it. That's what makes agriculture such an exciting industry to be in. And photos throughout the decades will document that progress.
