Not a bee to be seen down here at the moment.

  3. Excellent capture. We are having wind/drizzle today and I suspect the bees are hunkered down in the dry.

  4. I have become very fond of bees--- not hornets or wasps, though. I want to pet bumblebees.

  5. My friend’s garden was alive with bees before the snow melted. It was interesting to see them that early.

  6. Always reassuring to find bees hovering in the garden. What a lovely image, especially with the bees but also the contrast between the yellow and red. Flower and bud?

    1. Thank you. Yes it is a flower and bud. The tree is a Red-capped gum, also known as an Illyarrie. The red bud opens out to reveal the yellow flowers. Quite stunning!
