Rainfall scarf

You may recall during 2020 I documented the maximum temperature of each day by knitting a temperature scarf. This year I’m knitting a rainfall scarf, one row per day for the year, using shades of blue when it rains & eyelet rows to separate the months. Knitted in hand-dyed mini skeins from Dyeing to Knit & Cloud Forest Yarns

We don’t get a huge amount of rain; our long-term yearly average rainfall is 433mm (17”) & 52 wet days. We will see how this plays out during the year. And yes… that is only 0.5mm for all of April. We are hoping for some rain real soon.

  1. I liked your busy temperature scarf. I don't think the rainfall scarf will be as busy.

    1. No where near as busy! There is a nice subtlety about this one that I just love.
