The co-op comes to your farm to clean seed? Whenever we have seed cleaned we have to haul it to the co-op. I just told the Hubby about this post and he says, yes people have portable seed cleaners around here. I learned something new today!
This truck is owned by a family business, travelling farm to farm grading seed. They cover about a 300km radius from their home base, working a different locality each week. They have been grading our seed each summer for the 8 years. This year we had 200tonne to grade which took about 1½ days. It is much quicker and less handling involved than hauling into town.
Many different tools has come to make the work get finished easily:)
ReplyDeleteWe take our seed wheat to a facility to have it cleaned, but my brother has a company come to their farm.
ReplyDeleteI did not even know there was such a thing...very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI saw a truck like that in town the other day...........lol.......our local seed graders don't look that fancy or colourful..........
ReplyDeleteWhat an impressive, time saving set up.
ReplyDeleteA new one on me---
