    1. Yes, escort at the front with signage and flashing light is required. Machine also has to have signage front & back and flashing lights. It is not essential to have the escort at the back but it had to come through 2 towns, across a state border and over bridges across a flooded river so it was just for extra awareness.

    1. Pull over to the side of the road. Depending on the width of the machine and the condition of the edge of the road the driver of the wide load may also be able to pull over so allow you to drive past safely.
