The everyday of our family farm
They are definitely early -and remarkably unmusical.
Can't recall if I have woken up to one of those birds, could have when we stayed up the road in Finlay a few years ago.
I had to go check on YouTube to hear their sound. It is a unique and unforgettable call.
I love how you captured this image but had to have a little chuckle. Red [yellow] wattle [eucalpytus] bird.Oz has so many beautiful birds and their dawn chorous is a joy to wake up to.
It is named the Red Wattlebird because of the tiny red neck wattle that is only just visible in this young Wattlebird.
I think wattle birds have an unpleasant call. I am not sure I would like to wake to them.
Not really a song is it, it's more like a deep cough!
Not birds I recognise, obviously noisy :-) Cheers Diane
