5 months progress of my 2020 temperature scarf.
Each row is the maximum temperature of the day & beads added for rain.

The last 7 days has been the most stable temperature for the year to date…. before today’s cold blast.

  3. Looks good and it just goes to show there are not that many really hot days.
Many people crochet a blanker with the same idea.

    1. January & February were milder than usual with only 5 days above 40°c whereas December (not included on scarf) had 7 days over 40°c.

I too have seen the temperature blankets - a very daunting project for me. They end up so big and I would not know where or if I would use it!

  4. Not such a hot summer for you. A disappointing number of beads while we down south have had lots of rain.

    1. No, the latter months of summer where milder than usual.

The photo doesn't really show it but there are 3 shades of beads for 1mm, 5mm & 10mm so more rain than you think. It has actually been the best start to the season for years.

  5. Marvellous. Do you have last years to compare? What was the hottest temperature? I just love the colours of the wool.

    1. No, not another year to compare, this is my first year. So far the top maximum temperature for this year is 45.9°c on Jan 31st & the lowest maximum is 10.8°c on May 1st.

  8. That is such an interesting design you get by recording the temps. We are up to 80s now and will probably stay that way for all summer. That makes a great artwork hanging.

  9. That's a good idea, almost a weather diary that you can wear! Wonderful and looks lovely too.
