The everyday of our family farm
Hooray for Hay Caps.
No shortage there by the look of it. Diane
You DO have an amazing farm!
Looks great and a nice day for working.
Impressive! Curious yet again - was it maturing from Dec 16, or just waiting to be sold?
Hay is right to be feed out to stock the day that it is baled as is fully cured before it is baled. So yes, it was just waiting for the right market for sale. There was an oversupply of cereal hay made in 2016 throughout SE Australia, so the lower grades have a taken a while to shift.
Those huge stacks look so neat and tidy.
